Curtain Raiser Event of IDY 2025 with Indian Consulate in Shanghai

Brahma Kumaris invited for Curtain raiser event organised by Indian consulate in Shanghai as a countdown to 11th International Day of yoga
Consulate General of India in Shanghai started the series of events for the upcoming 11th International Day of Yoga. Sister Sapna was invited to conduct Curtain raiser event wherein a special session was organised for the friends of India to mark the beginning of a series of events under the theme.
Many Dignitaries participated in the event including Consul Generals of Uruguay , Thailand and South Africa, Administrators and scholars of some renowned universities/ institutions of Shanghai. It was wonderful to see such an enthusiastic response by all the dignitaries present.
The session was quite interactive where Sister Sapna shared her insights about Ancient Techniques of RajYoga of Bharat and practical Spirituality alongwith guided meditation.
First time such initiative was taken by the Indian consulate where Yoga day program is focussed exclusively towards such group of intellectuals, because in the past usually it’s a public event where all yoga enthusiasts participate.
The event was designed to explain the subtle aspects and spiritual aspects of Yoga as a new way of thinking and life style, which was well received by the group as a new perspective of understanding of yoga because most people still relate yoga with only physical postures.
This curtain raiser was the first event in the series of events as a countdown to International day of Yoga and will be followed by more such events.
