the latest news of the International day of Yoga grand celebration in Guangzhou China. Brahma Kumaris in cooperation with Parma Ayurveda resort, with the support of Consulate General of India in Guangzhou and Ayush ministry, organised a unique celebration of International day of Yoga this year with the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”.
This event was a beautiful combination of classical music, yoga practices and meditation. Mr. Jaideb Mukherjee, a famous musician from India was invited by the Indian consulate, especially for the IDY event. Mr Shambhu L. Hakki, the Consul General of India in Guangzhou who himself is also an artist and practitioner of Hindustani music, also presented some Raga renditions as a part of meditation session.
Along with Yoga asanas conducted by experienced yoga teachers one part of the event was especially dedicated to experience Rajyoga meditation.
In addition to that, there was a Special experiential session of Meditation and Music concert where Sister Sapna guided meditation for the participants in which Consul general of India himself played the live music accompanied by Mr Jaideb Mukherjee, the artist from India.
The venue of this program was one famous Ayurveda resort In Guangzhou, which is actually the The First Ayurveda Resort of China. A special vegetarian Satvic lunch was prepared and served to all the participants in a very traditional way which touched the hearts of all the souls present.
Brahma Kumaris also had a chance to put up an Information booth at the venue where many souls received Spiritual message. Thanks Baba and drama for providing such a beautiful opportunity by bringing together all the Souls with a similar purpose and so we are able to serve souls in this land.
It was indeed a very unique event, one of its kind where everyone could feel the Yoga(connection) between different cultures as a sign of Unity and Oneness. The program concluded with a beautiful singing of Chinese songs with Indian instruments, indeed a feeling of connection which justifies the theme of IDY.
Consul General of India appreciated the efforts of Brahma Kumaris organisation and presented a certificate of appreciation to Brahma kumaris as one of the organisers of this event.
