Yoga is an ancient Indian technique for maintaining a balance in the mind and the body, it has a great bearing on one’s mindfulness and how one relates to their own body. It is a beautiful mix of posture, breathing, meditation and good living. As the International Yoga Day is approaching, the Davangere chapter of the Medical Wing, Rajyoga Education and Research Foundation (RERF) is all ready with its series of twenty free Yoga camps for common benefit of the masses. This series of camps was inaugurated on 21st May 2018 by Dr. Prabhudev, Nodal Officer, AYUSH Department, Davangere District, Mr. Vasudev Raikar, Secretary, District Yoga Union, Mr. Ashok R Undi, State Best Teacher Awardee, Mr. Siddramanna, Retired Principal and Mrs Umadevi A C, a university Lecturer.
People participated in large numbers, and the organizers witnessed people of all age groups, who benefited from the teachings of Neelappa Ji, a renowned Yoga Guru in Davangere. The participants thoroughly enjoyed the camp and look forward to attending the whole series of twenty free Yoga camps, open for all and which will go on till the International Day of Yoga, celebrated on 21st June every year.
